Privacy / data handling
Privacy policy.
How data is handled when you visit this site or send an email. Last updated: 16 October 2026.
Data controller
The operator of zeroshell.dev is the data controller for this website. Privacy requests can be sent to [email protected].
Browsing and Cloudflare
Cloudflare protects the website and processes public IP addresses and technical request data to deliver traffic, detect abuse, and mitigate attacks. The legal basis is the controller's legitimate interest in keeping the website secure and available.
Technical logs and retention
Web server logs are not retained, and Cloudflare's optional log retention is neither enabled nor exported. Cloudflare may retain technical data for the periods described in its privacy policy. An IP address can be personal data; this site does not combine it with cookies, accounts or profiling identifiers.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not use application cookies, analytics, advertising trackers, user accounts or profiling. Fonts, scripts and images are served from this website itself, not from external content providers. Cloudflare may use strictly necessary technologies when required to provide its security services.
Email contacts
If you write to [email protected], your address, message and any information you choose to include are processed only to handle your request. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a possible agreement or, otherwise, the legitimate interest in managing correspondence. Messages are kept until the request is closed, unless a longer period is necessary for a professional relationship or required by law. Email for zeroshell.dev is hosted by Apple (iCloud Mail with a custom domain), so messages are stored on Apple's servers. iCloud Mail is not end-to-end encrypted; for sensitive information, use the PGP key on the security page.
Infrastructure and recipients
The website runs on self-managed infrastructure located in Italy, France and Germany. Cloudflare processes the traffic data needed to protect the website, and Apple (Apple Distribution International Ltd., Ireland, for iCloud in the EU) hosts email. Both may process data outside the EU under the safeguards described in their contractual and privacy documentation. Data is not sold or disclosed for advertising.
Your rights
Where applicable, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing under Articles 15–22 GDPR by writing to [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the country where you live, work, or where you believe an infringement took place (Article 77 GDPR).
